CHARACTERISTICS

This species grows in clusters, with many specimens joined at the base.
Its cap ranges from grey to brown on top, and it’s white underneath.
It doesn’t favor young wood, preferring moderately decomposed hardwoods. It is typically associated with heather but can also be found on both conifers and deciduous trees.
